Lumen reconstruction from two views

Abstract

Bayesian reconstruction methods stand apart from other inversion techniques in their ability to use prior information. The use of prior models involving flexible geometrical shape makes it possible to reconstruct blood vessel lumina from just a few x-ray transmission angiograms. Without such a morphological constraint, this reconstruction problem would be extremely ill posed.

Keywords: computed tomography, Bayesian analysis, maximum a posteriori (MAP) reconstruction, flexible prior models, snakes
